Throughout June, we continue our festivities to celebrate spiritually with some delicious treats, eats, and sips in honor of black heritage and culture.” The Disney Parks Blog is filling us with flavor and culture this summer as the celebration continues.

You’ll find delicious food at several locations throughout the resort, including both the theme parks and the Downtown Disney shopping district. You will also encounter music, art, and other forms of entertainment.

Hosted by the Dryers, Troubadour Pub will serve you Sweet Potato Curry, Chicken and Coconut Curry as well as Pride Rock Punch! From May 28, 2022, the same site will be equipped with more special items that can be found in your My Disney Experience app in the Mobile Order function. The Disney Parks blog recommends trying salted plantain chips or Berber popcorn and spices mixed with a warm spice blend for an afternoon snack.

Want something sweeter instead? Opt for the gently spiced Sweet Potato Chicken and Coconut Curry which has a roasted sweet potato and topped with Malawi Chicken Curry – yum! For a sweeter option, the Hakuna Matata Dessert Tray offers three animal-print cookies, including coconut macaroons, orange pineapple handprint, and chocolate buttercream cake topped with cocoa nibs. Animal print white chocolate disc is taking off on a popular trend!

Ditch those light appetizers with a fresh drink or two. Disneyland will now serve up Cardamom Cold Brew and Pride Rock Punch as part of its Spiritual Celebration Celebration.

Cardamom Cold Brew is made with cold coffee, brown sugar, and cardamom over ice. Pride Rock Punch, with the recipe below, combines Gold Peak tea, pineapple, mango, tamarind, and orange juice over ice. Talk about recovery. All the great options to enjoy while you perform “Tale of the Lion King” at the Fantasyland Theater! “

At Disney California Adventure, one of our favorite snack stations is Award Weiners… puns too… TASTY! From June 1, 2022, through early September, the foot-long BBQ Pulled Pork Dog is serving a whole beef patty on a roasted patty but topped with roast pork, fried onions, and cream salad. If that’s not enough to fill your stomach, follow it up with a serving of peaches and cream fries drizzled with cinnamon sugar and finish with a whipped topping and peach drizzle.

Starting June 1, the GCH Craftsman Bar at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa has a plate and cocktail to celebrate the spirit. If skewers of marinated beef skewers of marinated beef and coconut shrimp with raspberry sauce sound delicious to you, consider getting a summer cocktail, too. To experience all the signature elements! This delicious refreshment perfectly combines Parrot Bay Rum, Svedka Vodka, orange juice, pineapple juice, and grenadine.”

If you’re walking around the downtown Disney shopping district, you can find Celebrate Soulfully parties there, too. Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen has a delicious old-fashioned peach pie, made with Uncle Nearest Whiskey, a splash of Peachtree Liquor, a dash of Peychaud’s Bitters, brown sugar, and peaches. The Food Trucks show to join the fun will be enlarged from June 1, 2022 to July 4, 2022. Bred’s Nashville Hot Chicken truck will be among the wheels as well as Happy Ice with Philadelphia’s premium Italian icy treats. It will be more available on the dinner schedule, so don’t stop before 3pm

This non-alcoholic mocktail serves 4-6 people. The Disneyland Resort recipes shared here have been reduced from the bulk that Disney’s culinary team creates. For this reason, the flavor profile may be slightly altered.

  • 1 cup fresh pineapple, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 4 cups of fresh unsweetened black tea
  • 1/3 cup mango syrup
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 3/4 teaspoon tamarind paste
  • orange slices
  • dried mango slices
  • dried pineapple
  1. Put the pineapple in a blender or food processor. until a smooth mixture.
  2. Combine mashed pineapple, unsweetened tea, mango syrup, orange juice, and tamarind paste in a large pitcher.
  3. Stir until the tamarind paste is completely dissolved.
  4. Fill 4-6 tall glasses halfway with ice. Add punch and garnish with orange slices, dried mango, and dried pineapple.
  5. Cook’s Note: If mango syrup is not available, you can make your own using water, sugar, and mango. Bring ½ cup water, ½ cup sugar, and ½ cup frozen mango pieces to a boil in a saucepan. Cover, reduce heat to low and leave for 20 minutes. Cool completely and drain the mango pieces. Refrigerate for up to a week.
