What are you doing
The FUGA Marketing Services (MS) team was created to add value and solve problems to a large number of our clients by helping them connect their artists to audiences, generate revenue and grow. Sitting within the broader MS team, the Marketing Strategy team is primarily client facing and responsible for helping to develop and implement customized campaign strategies for a list of clients. This includes setting current, future and aspirational demographic goals, building brief roadmaps to achieve stated goals, working with Audience Engagement and digital accounts teams to build key assets that help drive artist vision and their brand, all while managing resources responsibly and ensuring that all departments have the tools And the information they need to keep the company moving in the same direction with one voice across all projects.
As this role primarily focuses on the rock genre (including Rock, Hard Rock, Alternative Rock, and Metal), we are looking for a candidate with a strong passion and knowledge of this field, and previous experience in marketing or promotions across the music industry. .
It will be a major and reliable point of contact for the group of FUGA clients (mainly record companies and management companies) who operate in the Rock space, on a global basis. You will work closely and collaboratively with your colleagues in Marketing Services in other FUGA offices to coordinate multi-region campaigns, directing our teamwork towards client-specific goals. You will also be able to leverage your rockstar knowledge and expertise, as well as your linked network of industry contacts, to add value to our clients and contribute to the implementation of the campaign.
Your main tasks are:
Be the primary daily marketing contact for specific FUGA clients within the rock genre, proactively maintaining and developing relationships across multiple key areas.
Develop an ongoing understanding of clients’ business, campaigns, and operational goals, both regionally and globally. Lead internal communications and collaboration to work towards achieving these goals.
Work with FUGA’s global teams to coordinate global marketing campaigns for poster projects and artists, including managing campaign logistics, schedules and assets. Gathering the main findings and evaluative comments.
Provide proactive insight into genre-specific marketing and audience growth opportunities, advising both clients and internal colleagues on campaign strategy and best practices.
Work collaboratively to create strategies to grow FUGA’s market share and customer base across the rock genre including participating in the promotion of potential clients.
Develop and maintain relationships with major players in the rock music genre, including DSPs, media, promoters, agents and the like.
Become a contributing member of the FUGA community, leverage and grow your industry network, and represent us at industry events as required.
who are you
At least 5 years’ experience working for a label company, managing an artist or music distribution company, with a particular focus on marketing to audiences related to the rock genre.
Passionate and knowledgeable about rock music and culture.
Excellent customer service and relationship building ability – always with a professional and confident demeanor.
Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, experience coordinating with broadcast platforms and audience engagement, labels, managers and artists in campaigns.
A strong network of industry-specific contacts, including key contacts in digital music services.
Extensive knowledge of the digital landscape and consumer trends.
Experience working across different time zones, communicating across multiple organizational levels.
Ability to work creatively and collaboratively.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills that demonstrate organization and attention to detail.
