Lake Creek Safe on Top of USA TODAY Sports / NFCA High School Super 25

Louisville, Kentucky – Unbeaten Lake Creek scored two more lopsided wins to continue its dominance of the USA TODAY Sports/NFCA High School Super 25 for the fourth week in a row.

The Lions (26-0) beat Montgomery and Porter by 19-1, and the NFCA Texas High School Leadoff Classic has won 64 of their last 66 games.

Meanwhile, Oaks Christian (20-0), Clovis North (15-0), Nichoba Central (18-2) and Lakewood Ranch (16-2) also continued to win, to finish the first five unchanged. Losing Villa Park (18-4) and Riverton (13-1) allowed Roncale (2-0) and Jackson (10-0) defeats, and Marist (6-1-1) to overtake them in the top 10.

The permanent powers – Eastern Alamance (12-1) and New Palestine (3-0-1) won four and three competitions, respectively, climbing to the top four spots in the poll each. The unbeaten Lincoln-Way West (6-0) is the newcomer this week, replacing Lincoln Way Central (5-3-1), which went in a different direction with two defeats.
