The Latinas in Tech Summit will include the second edition of Emerging Technology Competition, as a response to the capital gap facing Latinas. a recent report From Bain & Co. It found that despite their rapid growth, Latino-owned companies are not getting their fair share of capital from the investment community. The report goes on to say that less than 1% of the money from today’s top venture capital and private equity investors ends up in the hands of Latino-owned companies. The Latinas in Tech Startup Competition aims to support the ecosystem of Latina Tech founders by awarding undiluted cash prizes of 20 thousand dollarsAnd 10 thousand dollarsAnd 5 thousand dollars To the top three winners. Eligible participants must have at least one Latino co-founder whose percentage of ownership is reflected in the capitalization schedule and must have a strong technical component or technically enabled component.
