The transition to university broadens the scope and offerings
TEMPE, Arizona, September 26, 2022 /PRNewswire/ –Today, Southwestern College in Naturopathic Medicine and Health Sciences, a leader in the field of holistic and natural approaches to medicine and health sciences, is proud to be Sonoran University of Health Sciences. New degree programs, a state-of-the-art research institute, and expansion of free health care delivery and access in underserved communities have driven the transformation at Sonoran University.

Sonoran University’s goal is to shape a healthier future by supporting students as they train to excel as healthcare professionals, improving the health and well-being of their patients and communities, and discovering effective treatments for humanity based on the healing power of nature .
The university consists of six unique branches, each part connected to shape a healthier future for the local and global community. They include:
College of Naturopathic Medicine – Training future naturopathic physicians and healthcare leaders to use the best of evidence-based conventional, complementary and alternative medicine and therapies for ideal patient outcomes.
College of Nutrition – Fully online programs offered include a master’s degree in clinical nutrition, a master’s degree in business leadership in nutrition, and a supervised practice experience. All programs offered focus on the fundamental importance of food and nutrition in health.
Ric Scalzo Institute of Botanical Research – Botanical research focused on the development of safe and effective new products and the improvement of existing botanical therapeutics through rigorous scientific investigation – bridging the gap between the research bench and the patient’s bedside.
Medical Center – A world-class medical center focused on naturopathic primary care.
Neil Reardon Center for Regenerative Medicine – An interdisciplinary, patient-centered clinic providing safe and effective non-opioid treatment for patients suffering from chronic pain.
Sage Foundation for Health – Providing support to offer health services to needy individuals and families without cost at all times Maricopa County.
These branches give students and the community access to unique opportunities, one-of-a-kind training, individualized learning, and holistic approaches to care and research. More programs and degree offerings will be added in the coming years.
